For the Love of Turkey

So much has happened since my last post I just don't know where to begin! I guess I will start by briefly recapping Easter weekend. We headed down to St. George in a white-out blizzard a few days before Easter. It took us quite a bit longer to get there than we would have liked, but at least it was in one piece! It was so good to be able to spend time with the Duthrie side of the family, enjoy nice weather, and to listen to conference. Thanks for letting us come visit! We love you!

Last week my ward basketball team lost out of tournament play. It was quite a bummer, but we made it pretty far considering I was the point guard and it was a WARD team. I had a lot of fun with the girls and I am sad the season is over.

I made my first turkey dinner last Sunday! I love turkey dinners! Mmmmm delicious! I love my mom's homemade crescent rolls (of course she wasn't there to make them for us, so I had to do it myself which was a bearable substitute) and stuffing covered in gravy! I am upset that I forgot to take pictures after finishing the meal, but it turned out pretty good! (even though I didn't take out the neck of turkey because maybe I didn't know where to.. :) ) The side dishes included stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, homemade crescent rolls, orange poof, and broccoli. Dessert was Snicker's truffle dessert and brownies. The evening was even better with great company. Brinley had her first taste of mashed potatoes and gravy. She preferred the rolls.

The countdown til Mike graduates is..... 10 days! Wooohooo! His birthday is on the 19th a few days before he graduates. He will be turning 25! I am trying to think of some creative ideas for his birthday. I have thought about giving him 25 quarters or 25 little gifts around his birthday.. Any suggestions? I guess I probably won't be getting too many seeing how long my post is, but if you have some you wouldn't mind sharing please let me know!
